PILOT CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
To apply you must meet the following criteria:
- Aged 17-35 years on Stage 1 of the testing/selection process.
- Indian National or OCI holder.
- Minimum Academic Qualification – 10+2 with English, Maths and Physics.
NIOS mark sheet and certificate are accepted for Maths and Physics. Recognised International School/ Board/ University situated in India and Abroad in Maths, Physics and English is acceptable.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Eligible to hold USA Visa for the purposes of Training.
- Hold or eligible to hold, an Indian passport with the unrestricted right to live and work in India and travel worldwide.
- Medicals – minimum DGCA class 2
- ID proof – Indian photo ID (Aadhaar Card)
Note: You will be required to hold an Indian DGCA Class 1 and US FAA Class 1 Aviation Medical certificates prior to the commencement of training. A minimum of an Indian (DGCA) Class 2 Aviation Medical will be required to complete the selection process. If you do not already hold one, Blue Angels Air recommends all candidates to arrange at least a Class 2 Medical in conjunction with the application. Trainees are recommended to remain within the globally recognised BMI range of 17 to 25 (normal weight category).
We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic and passionate about aviation and who are keen to become a pilot. There is no specific preparation to do before you apply. Please see details on the selection process and prerequisites before applying.
If you do not meet this requirement, you can pursue these subjects via the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). NIOS results are acceptable.
Yes. However, in case a candidate does not have a valid passport, they will be allowed to participate in the selection process, but the candidate will need a valid passport before commencing their training.
You will have the option of clearing the DGCA theory exams and RTR either prior to commencement of the flight training or after completion of the flight training. You are advised to enrol with our exclusive Blue Angles Air Theoretical ground school for the DGCA exams and RTR.
Applications are open 24/7 and if you meet the criteria, you will be invited to the next available assessment date.
Your application will be processed and if you are eligible to be considered, you will be invited for an Assessment. On successful completion of the assessment, you will be called for the final interview with Blue Angels Air.
Blue Angels Air will pre-select candidates from the eligible pool, and they will be called for Assessment and an interview.
Stage 1 The assessment consists of aptitude tests and personality questionnaires.
Stage 2 Successful candidates will be called for a final interview with the Blue Angels Air team.
On successful completion of your final interview, you will be given a Student Training Agreement (STA).
In the event you are unable to attend your scheduled assessment, you are required to inform us 72 hours prior to your assessment date in order for us to reschedule for a fresh date.
It is in your best interest not to prepare for the online testing. They are designed to identify whether you have the basic aptitude to successfully complete your course of training with Blue Angels Air. Preparing for the test will increase the risk of masking your true aptitude (natural ability to meet the competencies required to pass the test).
Candidates who are not successful through the Assessments will be required to wait a minimum of 2 months before they can reapply.
Our assessments are conducted regularly throughout the year. On successful screening of your application and documents you will be invited for the assessment.
Wearing glasses or contact lenses does not disqualify you from becoming a pilot, however as there are specific requirements, we recommend you complete your DGCA medical.
Yes, an international student can apply for this programme.
We are working closely with banks and hope to be able to provide financing solutions soon to help you fund your pilot training.
Currently, Blue Angels itself does not finance individual cadets. However, we have developed partnerships with local banks to help with student loans. For further details or for any questions relating to your particular circumstances, do not hesitate to contact us and we are here to support you.
If you successfully complete the full programme, you will become a qualified pilot with the option of also having a frozen ATPL (integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence) and able to operate a commercial aircraft.
Once you complete your qualification, you will be able to apply directly to Airlines. We accompany all our Blue Angels Cadets who qualify from our Training Programme and help support them not only by ensuring they become an operational pilot qualified to Airline standards – but also by continuously working with airline partners to facilitate this. Especially in this period, we are supporting as best we can pilot cadets finding post training opportunities via our airline customer base.
AKASA CADET PROGRAMME

The advantage of having completed the DGCA exams (Navigation, Meteorology & Air Regulations) and having the Radio Telephone licence is that you can commence flight training in the upcoming course which we have scheduled every month. However, for all those of our selected cadets who haven’t appeared or completed the DGCA theory exams and the RTR, you can enrol with our exclusive Blue Angles Air Theoretical ground school for DGCA and RTR, and this will then be your 1st phase of the programme.
This is an ab initio programme designed for those with no flying experience.
However, you can apply to our Pilot Career Development Programme.
