Job Summary:

To ensure the continued technical serviceability and operational readiness of all flight simulation training devices (FSTDs) at Blue Angels Air. The Simulator Engineer will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, routine checks, and upgrades in compliance with OEM and DGCA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Simulator Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform daily serviceability checks of all simulators and associated systems.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Level D FFS and FTDs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Liaise with training and scheduling teams for device readiness.
  1. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, defect records, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with simulator certification standards (DGCA, OEM, FAA/EASA where applicable).
  1. Technical Development & Upgrades
  • Coordinate with OEMs for support, parts, and software updates. Support installation and acceptance testing of new devices.
  1. Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Implement SMS (Safety Management System) protocols within the engineering function.
  • Conduct risk assessments for maintenance tasks and system modifications.
  • Actively participate in quality audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
  1. Team & Vendor Coordination
  • Act as the primary contact for escalations with OEMs/vendors on complex technical issues.
  • Coordinate with the Training team to ensure minimal disruption during simulator downtime.

Required Qualifications:

Mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics /Mechanical /IT & Engineering.
  • 5+ years simulator maintenance experience.
Preferred:
  • Maintenance experience on A320
  • Familiarity with OEM systems (CAE, MPS, Sim International)
